Spring is the quintessential time of rebirth, renewal, cleaning out the old and making room and space for the new.
We have been tucked inside for the Winter- cozy under the covers of the hibernation period and it is almost time for this period to come to a close. The transition of Winter to Spring means a shift of stillness to movement, giving our bodies and minds the space to refresh and renew.
With this comes a hopeful feeling of new beginnings, taking on projects and new endeavors; the blossoming and new life of Springtime.
For me, a lover of nature, Spring conjures and evokes thoughts of flowers in bloom, outdoor walks in nature, smelling the fresh air, feeling the sun, a variety of colors, and new life.
It is a multi-sensory experience, which should be savored, enjoyed and revered, because, like all seasons it passes.
Both exercise and nature decrease stress and increase overall well being and connecting with these natural phenomena brings us back to our natural state of calm, reminding the body of its intelligence, well-being and centeredness.
Feeling the ground under you as you walk reconnects you with the present moment, grounding and centering. In addition, it increases creative thinking and problem solving.
Springtime is the perfect time to try Walk & Talk Therapy. It allows for you- the client- to get out of the office, or the house, move, problem solve without the pressure of sitting in a therapist’s office and enjoy the experience of Springtime in bloom.
I am currently accepting new clients for Spring Walk & Talk Therapy, email or call me to book your first session.
Be Well,
Katie
